All about Summer Savory

Summer savory is an annual that gets to a height of 18 inches tall that will bloom white or light pink flowers from mid-summer until the first frost. Sow seeds into well-drained average fertility soil about a week before your last spring frost wherever they will be able to get full sun. Plant seedlings in your garden after the last frost has passed and space them  10 to 12 inches apart. Begin to pick sprigs anytime after the plant is at least 6 inches tall. Because savory has a pepperlike taste and smell you can use it  dried to season eggs, sauces, meats, soups , stews or your favorite dishes.
