All about Lovage
Loveage will give your garden a lovely,lush appearance with it's bright green,celery-like leaves and mid-to late summer yellow/white flowers. Be sure to plant according to sun direction as it grows to about 6 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide.This celery scented perennial is best suited for zones 4 to 8 and should be planted in partial or filtered shade. To grow from seed they must be fresh to germinate, or a plant must be in before late spring frost or in late summer. Harvest leaves for drying before the plant flowers and dry quickly as not to loose any flavor.Adding a great celery flavor in your cooking, lovage will give any dish you prepare the zest you've been looking for.This multi-purposed plant also acts as an antiseptic and in tea it will aid in digestion.
