All about Lemon Verbena

Lemon verbena is a rich lemony herb that grows vigorously into a shrub of fragrant leaves.  The oils in the lemon verbena's are so volatile that the least disterbance of its' foliage fills the air with a lemony scent.  The plant may not winter well, so it is often recommended to take a  few six inch cuttings of new growth, pop them into a glass of water and put them in a windowsill until they root.  Then they can be transplanted to a contain to weather the winter indoors.

Lemon verbena is a very versatile herb, not only can it be used in cooking, but is found in teas, jellies and many health products.
